Cruel, conniving Norma Sue returns to her backwoods hometown with her stud lover to wreak havoc on the local denizens. Her main target is her sexually repressed sister, who runs the local hotel. At the same time, jobless slacker Billy Joe commences an affair with a broke immigrant lady whose husband is overseas. Pressured by his cheating wife to earn some cash, he decides to pimp his new paramour. Georgina Spelvin serves as host and guide to this exploration of the sexual netherworld, which can be accessed through discreet ads placed in "underground" newspapers and on public bulletin boards. We meet voyeurs looking for good peeping spots, homosexuals on the cruise for new partners, masked swingers clubs, nudie photographers trolling for naïve new models, a man who makes a good living providing S & M enthusiasts with leather gear, adult film societies screening stag movies for heavy-breathing fans, and "Lonely Hearts Clubs" preying on unsuspecting bachelors looking for relationships with teenage girls. Director Joel M. Reed (who would later make the bizarre horror-comedy Bloodsucking Freaks) and actress Jennifer Welles (a major star in 1970s adult films) can be spotted in cameo roles.

During a cataleptic fit, Montel is buried alive, a burial plotted by his greedy wife Sofia with several men, including her lover, Montel's doctor. Exiting his grave, Montel goes on a sexual rampage. When the conspirators engage in gun play at an abandoned castle, Montel arrives to stab the doctor and strangle Sofia, followed by the revelation that he is actually dead.

The Cocoa Poodle bar is the central meeting place for the denizens of a bohemian suburban area. Janet, a rather colorless model, is jealous of her artist/mentor Tanya, who attracts the attention of all the local guys. An exotic card-reader offers her a pair of earrings which will give her power over others. She soon becomes the center of attention, but commits a fatal error.

Blackmail and fraud in the milieu of a fashion house serve as a hook for partner-swapping and sex games.

A slick, womanizing magician and his pretty assistant perform regularly at a hotel cabaret. They are having an affair with each other, as well as with several other employees at the venue. When one waitress spurns the magician's advances, the assistant hypnotizes her so that she will yield to his advances. Complications ensue.
