Fashion-designer May Berg is driving alone one evening, when she almost run over a man lying in the street. She gets out of the car to see. Suddenly the man attacks her, trying to strangle her. Swedish film producer Lorens Marmstedt created Terrafilm with a group of young directors in mind, Hasse Ekman, Ingmar Bergman and Hampe Faustman. Terrafilm appeared as both the commercial and the artistic leader in Swedish film. 45 films was produced from 1938-1957. Some of the more attentive titles were "Ett Brott/A Crime)" (1940), "Flickan och Djävulen/The Girl and the Devil" (1944), "Musik i Mörker/Music in the Dark" (1948) and "Singoalla"(1949).

Sture Letterström and Kurre Svensson take on the task of rescuing a secret document during World War II from a group of Swedish Nazis. Since both of them are known by the local Nazis, Sture takes on the role of Miss Märta Letterström, and Kurre also has to make use of his feminine side as well as a dress.

Because of an accident at a military drill the recruit Bengt loses his eyesight and becomes blind. He gets to live with relatives in the countryside and meets the young Ingrid. She falls in love with him but Bengt's bitterness also makes him blind to her attentions.

Visiting her office, he returns the money and in return she hires him as a sketch artist for the company's advertisement. The Swedish doctor of literature Vilhelm Canitz arrive to Lugano in Italy for a few weeks stay at a medical clinic. Canitz considers himself to be quite healthy and the stay as an extended vacation. He meets a number of patients at the clinic suffering of terminal illnesses, including Vellamo Toivonen (Lindfors). Kurre and Inga are engaged to be married. However, as they are very poor, they can't afford it just yet. They live separate, both in small apartments with a friend. Inga works at an office and Kurre at a small factory. Inga has a liability to be late in the mornings and this gets her into some trouble at the office, because of her very strict boss. This, along with the fact that another girl starts to court Kurre puts their relationship to the test, a crisis which is easier said than done to solve.

1813. The Swedish army is fighting in the War of the Sixth Coalition. The popular general Von Döbeln is arrested for sending the army against the French in breach of orders by the crown prince. At the court martial he is sentenced to death but is pardoned by the king and sent to prison instead. A group of conspirators are planning to set him free and make him their leader in a coup d'etat.

The idle rich have their own particular problems. Case in point, Georg and Monika Hedberg were once poor and happy but since Georg became an established painter family bliss has decreased for every fur coat Monika has bought. Their divorce lawyer suggest that they try to save their marriage by moving to a small apartment and live life frugally but happy. When the trial period is over and they want to return home again, their lawyer has stolen their money and disappeared.
