The Three Kingdoms (simplified Chinese: 三国; traditional Chinese: 三國; pinyin: Sān Guó) from 220 to 280 AD was the tripartite division of China among the dynastic states of Cao Wei, Shu Han, and Eastern Wu. The Three Kingdoms period was preceded by the Eastern Han dynasty and was followed by the Western Jin dynasty. The short-lived state of Yan on the Liaodong Peninsula, which lasted from 237 to 238, is sometimes considered as a "4th kingdom".

It’s the end of the Tang dynasty, the country is in turmoil. A blacksmith Yuchi Gong (Honglin Dong) wants to join the army of Li Jiancheng and Li Yuanji. Due to his upright character and formidable martial skills he raises high in the ranks of their army. Unfortunately, he was disappointed by the two wreck less Li brothers and decided to join their more just and noble enemy, Liu Wuzhou. The brothers Li heard that Liu’s wife and his sister-in law are two rare beauties so they decide to kidnap them. Yuchi Gong succeeds in rescuing them but Liu’s wife dies. The stage is set for an all out martial mayhem.

After turning against friends of his Kung Fu teacher, Cheung Li Kung is banished to Malaysia, but instead of reforming, Cheung sets up a casino to steal wages back from the miners who work for him. During Japan's invasion of China in World War II, two disgraced Japanese soldiers are given a second chance. Facing execution for various infractions, the two men are offered a reprieve if they take a special assignment. Since they can speak Chinese and know the territory, the men are assigned to the task of running a Chinese labor camp the Japanese operate in occupied territory. After the men take over, they work the prisoner's so hard the labor force rises up in revolt of their treatment.
