A couple who is in love convinces their respective families about their plans to lead life together. However, they realise that both the families are poles apart when they start the wedding preparations.

The path of true love does not run smooth in this movie about love, expectations, and the range of abilities and access that different people have in this world.

Leelatharan, Lee to his friends, hangs out with a bunch of merry youths who do practically any work and play football in other times. It is a strong-willed and thick-tied group. Chellama, a worker in a facility for the mentally-challenged, is also kind of a groupie. Life is all merry and mirth till she espies Lee & co, attempting an assassination of sorts on a Minister. The bid fails, but Chellama is shocked and so are we. Why would this bunch want to take a crack at the murky world of politics and cricket.

Arjun, an unemployed youngster and Deva a powerful don both fall in love with Sailaja, a middle-class beauty, at the same time on a rainy day at a railway station. Arjun keeps bumping into Sailaja coincidentally every time it rains. This makes them both feel that it is perhaps the rain that keeps bringing them together, and they start to fall in love. Deva, on the other hand, takes the back-door route to get the girl, with the help of her good-for-nothing father.

Vivek's father thinks love is all about carnal pleasures, whereas his lover Bharathi's mother thinks men must be dominated. To disprove their parents' beliefs, the couple decide to live together.
