Tarun Kumar is an Indian film actor known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. He has also appeared in few Tamil and Malayalam films. He has received three state Nandi Awards and the National Film Award for his works.
He received the National Film Award for Best Child Artist in 1991, for his work in Mani Ratnam's Anjali, which was India's official entry to the Oscars for that year. Tarun won critical acclaim with the Malayalam children's film, Abhayam (1991), which won the National Film Award for Best Children's Film for that year, and Tarun won the Best Child artist Award at the Furoshiki Film Festival in Japan. As a child artist, Tarun starred in super hits such as Manasu Mamatha (1990), Surya IPS (1991), Aditya 369 (1991), Teja (1992), My Dear Muthachan (1992), and Johny (1993).
After a seven-year break, Tarun was the lead actor in the blockbuster Nuvve Kavali in 2000, which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu for that year, and Tarun won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South for his work in the film.[5][6] He then starred in successful films such as Priyamaina Neeku (2001), Nuvvu Leka Nenu Lenu (2002), Nuvve Nuvve (2002), Punnagai Desam (2002) (Tamil), Ninne Istapaddanu (2003), Ela Cheppanu (2003), Nee Manasu Naaku Telusu (2003), Sakhiya (2004), Bhale Dongalu (2008), Sasirekha Parinayam (2009), Chukkalanti Ammayi Chakkanaina Abbayi (2013), Yuddham (2014), and Idhi Naa Love Story (2018), and established himself as one of the successful actors of Telugu cinema.
Actor
Abhiram is an ad filmmaker and his sister sets him on a trip to Araku Valley with an expectation of hooking him up with her fiance's sister Sruthi. She lives in Araku Valley and Abhi comes there with her sister's words. He meets Abhinaya and he falls for her as they share their past love stories with each other when they both are together. They are happy in love but the expectations of Abhiram on his girlfriend are not met by her, he disappoints. What happens next is crux of the story.

Yuddham is a 2014 Telugu drama film directed by Bharathi Ganesh. The film stars Tarun and Yami Gautam in lead roles.The film also features late Srihari and was released as a tribute to him as he played a pivotal role in it.

Chukkalanti Ammayi Chakkanaina Abbayi is a 2013 Indian Telugu-language family drama film directed by Kanmani. It stars Tarun and Vimala Raman in the lead roles. The music was composed by Anoop Rubens. The film which was in production since 2009, finally released on 25 May 2013 to poor reviews and was declared a flop at the Box Office and didn't give Tarun the much wanted boost in his comeback to films

Independent spirited Sasirekha (Genelia) is ordered by her father to get married to an NRI groom. When the groom’s father demands dowry on the wedding day, she runs away from her marriage. Soon after she ran way, she runs in to Anand (Tarun). They bond well during their acquaintance and the rest of the movie is about how she falls in love with Anand. As it turns out, Anand was the one she was supposed to marry, but due to certain events, the wedding party leaves without him. Sasirekha was to see a video of the groom and his house, but stamps on it, declaring she doesn't want to get married.
Ramu
Remake of Hindi Hit Bunty Aur Babli. The story begins when Ramu, having ditched yet another job interview, coming home to his angry father. His father berates him, and in the process, Ramu reveals that he does not want an "Udyogam", rather, he want to do "vyapaaram" (he wants to do business rather than have a job). After his father vehemently rejects the idea, he runs away from home at night. On the other hand, Jyothi wants to be a model, and make her big debut in a beauty pageant in the city. She tells this to her mother and father, but her grandmother, the head of the house says a strong no, and she has already fixed for a potential suitor to Jyothi to come to the house the next day. Jyothi refuses, but her grandmother ignores her, and her parents are helpless. In order to make her dream come true, she runs away at night, and boards a train, the same one Ramu happens to be on and together, they begin their lives of crime.
