The story unfolds in the winter of the year 1215. A mysterious stranger who has escaped from prison arrives in a tiny, remote village in the kingdom of France plagued by famine and leprosy, and ruled by an ageing lord, a former hero from the Crusades, Lord Ocam. Together with his horde of knights, Ocam abducts a young girl from the village in order to exert his droit du seigneur over her. A handful of villagers, backed up by The Stranger, attempt to release her, but they only have until nightfall…
Beyond the Walls
Paulo
Paulo, a young pianist, meets Ilir, a double-bass player originally from Albania. It's love at first sight. Confronted by Anka, Paulo finds himself out on the street. Despite Ilir's misgivings, Paulo moves in with him. One day, when Paulo promises that he will love Ilir for the rest of his life, Ilir leaves the city and doesn't return. A few days later, Paulo finds out that Ilir is in jail, and the two lovers embark on an heart-breaking relationship.
The Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec
La momie 'Semotep'
An adventure set in the early part of the 20th century, focused on a popular novelist and her dealings with would-be suitors, the cops, monsters, and other distractions.
Des illusions
Le garçon autographe
A popular young writer decides to write a novel on an island that was once a Mecca to the Hippie movement of the 1960s. As he tries to recapture a world that no longer exists, the writer meets an enigmatic young woman who agrees to help him in his research. But as he falls in love with this strange girl, he finds her increasingly remote and mysterious, until she finally seems to disappear for good...
Romeo's Kiss
Jérémie
How do we fall in love? While rehearsing the love scene between Romeo and Juliette, Cécile, Thomas and Jérémie, barely twenty years old, each bring, in their own way, an answer to this question.
Viril
Danced role-play for men, without words and without music. Here, the choreography says everything about male behaviour and mutual relationships. In e.g. dressing room and kitchen, seven men move between shame, modesty and the lust for power.
French for Beginners
Jean-Luc
The story of Henrik, who takes part in a student exchange program with France. The only reason for this journey is to conquer the heart of his dream girl. Wild Partys, exciting trips, a crazy host family and of course his trouble with the French language turn the - at first unmeant - holidays into a memorable summer.
