Wiley wrote the screenplay for the 1986 film House and has written and directed several other horror films, including, House II: The Second Story, Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror, starring David Carradine and Eva Mendes, Blackwater Valley Exorcism and Brutal, starring Jeffrey Combs, Michael Berryman and Sarah Thompson. In 2006, Wiley formed Wiseacre Films, an independent production company. Producing credits include Blackwater Valley Exorcism, A Dead Calling, Drifter, Brutal, Deadwater (a.k.a. Black Ops), Bear and The Butterfly Room. Ethan is writer, director and producer of the family comedy movie Elf-Man and the Chinese action-adventure feature Journey to the Forbidden Valley. Ethan was a Production Consultant for the Universal Pictures action film The Man with the Iron Fists 2, and teleplay writer for Universal's Dead Again in Tombstone.

After a small airplane crash lands in a remote area of Central China, several passengers survive, including a Chinese boy and his American guardian. As they wait to be rescued, they soon encounter the mysterious Yeren-- an elusive ape-man creature rumored to have inhabited the Shennongjia mountains for many centuries. When ruthless poachers arrive to capture the Yeren, our heroes must decide if the unique creature is their friend or foe.

When a run-in with a curious grizzly bear ends up with the bear being shot to death, the bear's mate arrives on the scene and vengefully attacks their van. While going through old things in the basement, Jesse finds a picture of his great-great grandfather in front of a Mayan temple holding a crystal skull with jewels in the eyes. In the background is a man Jesse learns is Slim Razor, a former partner of his great-great grandfather turned bitter enemy after a disagreement over who would get to keep the skull.

Roger Cobb is an author who has just separated from his wife. He moves into a new house and tries to work on a novel based on his experiences in the Vietnam War. Strange things start happening around him; little things at first, but as they become more frequent, Cobb becomes aware that the house resents his presence.
