Masayuki Imai was a Japanese playwright and actor.
A woman bears a 13 year grudge with her father over the traditional dance he was performing that caused him to be absent from her mother's death, until they reconnect over the very same dance.
Kotone (Tomoka Kurotani) is the wife of Mitsuru Kiba (Kazushige Nagashima), boss of the Kiba gang in the Saikyo Alliance. She hides a girl named Sakura Nishizawa (Rina Koike), who is chased by Azami (Natsuki Harada). Azami is the wife of Kato (Masayuki Imai), boss of the Kato gang in the Saikyo Alliance. Years ago, Azami's lover was murdered by Mitsuru Kiba. To get revenge, she married Kato. Through the girl Sakura Nishizawa, Kotone and Azami unexpectedly meet and become involved in a large conspiracy.
In 2004, singer-songwriter Matsumoto Tetsuya wrote an autobiography that included a section about his relationship with his troubled mother. Writer-director Nakamura Daisuke adapts that story to film with Shiwase Come On, his directorial debut. The film covers the marriage of Tetsuya's mother and yakuza father, his mother's drug habit, his stay at an orphanage and his reconciliation with his mother after becoming an adult. In addition to writing and performing the film's theme song, Matsumoto Tetsuya also composed the score to this touching film. In 2011, Shiawase Come On won Grand Prix at the 2011 Okuradashi Film Festival, a film festival dedicated to screening unreleased Japanese films.

During the Bon festival, when the spirits of the deceased are believed to return to the living, Takehiro takes his sons to the firework display at Hamakaze and see the smiling face of Toshiko.
