This 2018 documentary by filmmakers Louise Milne and Seán Martin features interviews with actor Nikolai Burlyaev, cinematographer Vadim Yusov, Tarkovsky personal assistant Olga Surkova, film critic Dmitri Salynsky, and Tarkovsky scholar Vida T. Johnson.

In May 1991 Soviet cosmonauts Anatoly Artsebarksy and Sergey Krikalev visit space station Mir in space mission Ozon. Artsebarski, the commander, returns to Earth according to plan 5 months later. Krikalev has to stay in space for ten months because of the chaotic political situation in his home country. He left the USSR to return to Russia. The 1991 coup ends an important era.

A man, who becomes mistaken for his brother who was immigrating to Israel from USSR, finds himself caught up in the middle of a bureaucratic mess when he realizes that if he tells the truth about who he is, he will go to jail and his brother's family will never be allowed to leave the USSR. He therefore assumes his brother's identity to get to Israel hoping his distant uncle living there will help him out. The plan backfires, however, when he realizes that the uncle is a paranoid lunatic thinking the KGB is out to get him. He becomes stranded in Israel with no friends, no money, and no passport, trying to figure out a way to get back home.

Man who talks with a ghost called Black Monk is forced to see a doctor. After the treatment, he loses his ability to communicate with the ghost, becoming angry, violent and utterly unhappy.

Praised for its fine photography and production design if not its narrative, Sergei Bondarchuk directed this adaptation of the tale by Alexander Pushkin. Boris Godunov came to the Czarist throne at the end of the 16th century, after the original heir to Ivan the Terrible had died. At first, things went well for Godunov (played by Bondarchuk), but when the Russian people began to believe he had killed Ivan the Terrible's son in order to gain the throne, an alliance sprang up against the new Czar. Events continued to spin out of control as a young monk was presented as the son Godunov had supposedly killed. Now he was openly accused of failing an assassination attempt, which seems to be even worse than succeeding. In addition to these woes, Boris Godunov began to suffer serious health problems. So much for the joys of kingship.

Soviet adventure comedy film based on Mark Twain's Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

A psychologist is sent to a space station orbiting a planet called Solaris to investigate the death of a doctor and the mental problems of cosmonauts on the station. He soon discovers that the water on the planet is a type of brain which brings out repressed memories and obsessions.

It makes him very popular with the locals but most certainly does not help with his bank account. He is in love with a beautiful Manette who is also crazy about him but is being watched closely by her father who called his daughter "his small capital" and is determined to protect her virginity until the moment the marriage contract has been signed...

An expansive Russian drama, this film focuses on the life of revered religious icon painter Andrei Rublev. Realizing that for Ladygin, ranks and titles are more valuable than human qualities, Svekolkin tells his friend that he works as a simple cashier. This leads to a number of misunderstandings and comic situations...
