Haru, a struggling magazine editor, meets the painter Toru during research for one of her articles. Toru is autistic and straightforward in expressing his thoughts. Haru is drawn to his honesty, and a deep emotional bond forms between the two despite their different personalities.

Apprentice chef Saori Nakagawa suddenly travels to Tokyo in 1964 to meet Ryuichi Kikuchi, a cook. From Kikuchi who devotes himself to cooking, Saori learns what is really important. The love of two people over 56 years.

A pair of parking guards, Makoto and Shige, they are dispatched from a private company and are employed by the country as public servants. They crack down on illegal parking relentlessly, and because of their appearance, they are called “Euglena,” green tiny organism. Makoto, a straight arrow, strictly clamps down all the unlawful parking cars, but Shige, a loose cannon, pardons girls who park illegally. These two people receive a business request at a downtown area in the middle of the night because they’ll get more money than doing in the daytime. However, night-time working becomes totally different then usual.

Kurumi is hired at a high-end hotel, but is instead dispatched to work at fun fair that is connected to the business network. The new work is out in the country and there is not much else to do or places to go. The go-to employee is one Yoshiko. Kurumi wants to be successful and valued and is eager to learn from Yoshiko. Shinya is in debt as a result of his gambling habit. One day when the old woman dies, Moses comes to the deceased and confesses his past. Subsequently Shinya resumes communicating with his father Ryutaro.
