Sinopsis
Conjunto de veinte historietas narradas en forma de sketches donde se ridiculizan los programas más clásicos de la televisión americana.
Durante una Nochevieja, en un hotel de Los Ángeles, un botones es continuamente solicitado por los ocupantes de cuatro habitaciones. En una de ellas se han reunido unas brujas, en otra un hombre apunta con un revólver a su mujer, que está atada a la cama, en la tercera un gángster y su mujer le piden que cuide a sus hijos y en la cuarta dos hombres realizan una arriesgada apuesta.
En París, el amor está por todas partes: en sus bares y cafés, bajo la Torre Eiffel e incluso bajo tierra, en el metro. Algunos de los directores más prestigiosos del mundo fueron invitados a contar una historia ambientada en uno de los barrios de la ciudad. El resultado es un caleidoscopio de imágenes sobre la alegría de vivir, sobre extraños e inesperados encuentros y, especialmente, sobre el amor.
La película consta de tres episodios. "El amante celoso" es la historia de una bailarina (Moira Shearer) que se ve forzada a abandonar la danza a causa de una lesión cardíaca. "Mademoiselle", es una fábula fantástica sobre un niño de once años (Ricky Nelson) que se convierte en adulto por unas horas, para seducir a su institutriz (Leslie Caron). "Equilibrio" narra la tragedia de un trapecista (Kirk Douglas) que intenta animar a una mujer al borde del suicidio (Pier Angeli).
