Sinopsis

Randy y Skeet son dos hermanos que tienen una relación muy cercana debido a que su madre pasa todo el día trabajando. Randy ha de cuidar a su hermano pequeño y lo hace además con gusto. Los hermanos comparten la misma pasión por el surf y en su cumpleaños Randy le regala la primera tabla a Skeet, con la que también empiezan las clases para aprender a surfear las olas. Skeet está empeñado en aprender por su cuenta y a menudo se adentra solo en el mar. Es entonces cuando conoce a Jim Wesley, un profesional del surf a quien Randy admira por encima de todo. Jim empieza a pasar más tiempo con los niños y también con su madre, Jessica, y se da cuenta de que tienen mucho en común, pues, al igual que ellos, él también perdió a su esposa y a su hija.
