Antiguos soldados de la guerra del Vietnam han creado una poderosa red de tráfico de droga. Dos policias reciben el encargo de esclarecer un asesinato en el que esa peligrosa organización se halla implicada.
Una pareja de policías tiene como misión proteger a un individuo que va a testificar en contra de una organización de traficantes de droga. Las cosas se complican cuando uno de ellos decide iniciar la investigación por su cuenta sin comunicarlo a la comisaría.
Riggs y Roger son una pareja de policías de Los Ángeles que se enfrentan a un difícil caso.
