Sinopsis
Casim (Atta Yaqub), un joven escocés de origen paquistaní, es un DJ que sueña con abrir un club con su mejor amigo. Sus padres, que emigraron al Reino Unido en los años sesenta, tienen en Glasgow una tienda de comestibles y prensa. Siguiendo la tradición musulmana, han decidido que Casim se case con su prima Jasmine. Casim tiene dos hermanas: Rucksana, la mayor, está prometida a un un joven del agrado de sus padres. Tahara, la pequeña, de carácter rebelde, está terminando sus estudios en un instituto católico, donde Roisin (Eva Birthistle) es su profesora de música.
