Devil Riders (1943)

Rachel Keller es una periodista de investigación que no da mucho crédito a lo que considera una especie de leyenda urbana: al parecer, circula por ahí una cinta de vídeo con imágenes aterradoras, que va acompañada de una llamada telefónica en la que se predice, con una semana de antelación, la muerte de quien las ha visto. Sin embargo, cuando cuatro adolescentes encuentran la muerte exactamente una semana después de ver el vídeo, la curiosidad se apodera de ella y no parará hasta encontrar la cinta y verla.

Unos bandidos atacan y arrasan cada año las tierras de unos granjeros. Ante esto, varios de ellos deciden buscar a hombres que puedan defenderles. Conseguirán reunir siete hombres, cada uno de los cuales presume de una característica especial.

City dweller Egghead dreams of being a cowboy, but his bouncing around gets him kicked out of his boarding house. He sees an ad for a ranch looking for a cowboy and applies. His tryout includes tests of marksmanship and use of a branding iron, but most of it consist of chasing down and roping a troublesome little calf. He passes the test, but the job isn't exactly what he dreamed of.

A laundry man parks his horse-drawn cart to make a delivery. While he is inside, his horse sees a bag of oats and starts to eat them. By the time the man comes back outside, the horse has eaten a whole bag of oats, and has so much energy that he begins to race out of control.
