Sinopsis
Mike Klein es un escritor idealista que se propone hacer el guión de un episodio piloto para la televisión. Inevitablemente sus ideales entrarán en conflicto con la realidad del mercado de la pequeña pantalla, de modo que tendrá que luchar denodadamente para sacar adelante su proyecto.
Los espíritus de Kayako y Toshio continúan una maldición de la que nadie podrá escapar. En esta ocasión, la maldición cae sobre el equipo de televisión que lidera Kyoko, una actriz especializada en películas de terror. Acuden a la casa para grabar un programa sobre asuntos paranormales.
Una camarera de Kansas City, bajo la influencia de un culebrón televisivo, sueña con ser enfermera. Cuando su marido, un mediocre vendedor de coches, resulta asesinado decide irse a Los Ángeles, convencida de que su novio es el protagonista del culebrón, concretamente el cardiólogo (Kinnear). Mientras tanto, los asesinos de su marido no consiguen encontrar la droga que éste escondió en su coche antes de morir.

In a fictional Central European country democracy and freedom are only illusion, because behind polished surface there's many cases of murders and manipulations with the people. Police and city authorities are helpless when it comes to revealing the evil and culprits behind it. In the center of this story is the writer Ivan Gajski, whose friend died under sketchy circumstances. Gajski reveals that those who most advocate democracy are not only the same involved in these crimes, but they also did some of the murders as a part of TV production. Gajski meets all kinds of characters through this quest of his, including the woman of his wife Sara, and professor Bošković who discovers the origins of present Evil - the dark past of European continent.
