Lee Sahaio Lung es un atleta experimentado en Kung Fu, que practica cada día en su gimnasio. A él acuden a verle su novia y dos misteriosos hombres que lo vigilan secretamente. A raíz de una pelea que mantiene con varios individuos que intentan asaltarlo, aparecen los dos hombres misteriosos y se identifican como el director y productor de la película que Bruce Lee dejó inacabada: “Juego con la Muerte”. Se acerca la Segunda Guerra Mundial y China espera una invasión de Alemania y Japón. Ang es contratado por un grupo chino que busca un "documento secreto". Muchos otros grupos también quieren tenerlo en sus manos. Está en el último piso de una torre y Ang debe abrirse camino hasta la cima.

Dae-dong is the newly appointed leader of the Jung-mu Martial Arts Hall. He is challenged by the Japanese and is killed. The Jung-mu Hall is almost at the point of ruin. The teachers of Jung-mu Hall go searching for the master Keum-san of Chosun, the great Taekwondo fighter. Keum-san was the Korean teacher of the deceased Dae-dong and a highly respected warrior. When Keum-san's disciple, Chung, hears the sad tidings of Dae-dong's death, his only friend, he goes to China with the Jung-mu masters to hold his funeral. During Dae-dong's funeral, Chung receives a challenge from the treacherous Japanese man, Kuromasa. Chung kills Kuromasa and returns to Chosun but he discovers his wife and master Keum-san murdered. Stunned, Chung destroys them all and leaves for somewhere desolately carrying his young child.

Japanese forces in Shanghai attempt to destroy the patriotic spirit of the Chinese by closing down all Kung Fu gyms. Chang Ling (Bruce Le), a top Chinese Kung Fu practitioner, is forced to flee to Korea. The Japanese forces pursue him there, and so Chang Ling fights back, defeating many Japanese fighters before finally encountering the Japanese commander.
