Sinopsis
Aravindan has finally found a Nangyar Koothu performer, Aswathy, to marry. She stays in Cochin. Aravindan with his family and friends embark on a voyage from their tiny village to the city in a tourist bus called Kudumbasree Travels. Will they make to the wedding before the auspicious time?
Major Ravi, who tries to expose the evil plans of a politician, is framed in a murder. Upon release, he moves to Dubai and becomes a business tycoon; however, his rivals are out to destroy his empire.
The film is a sequel to the 1988 film August 1, which was directed by Sibi Malayil, and written by S. N. Swamy. Following from August 1, Mammootty plays the character of the Crime Branch officer Perumal who investigates into an attempt of assassination on the chief minister of Kerala on the 15th of August, the Independence Day of India.
Mithun Madhavan (Mohanlal) appears as a Mumbai-based Information Technology industrialist but a psychologist in reality. Priyan (Indrajith) is a software engineer working under Mithun. Priyan is in love with his uncle's daughter Dhwani (Parvathi) who was born and brought up in Chennai. The rest of the story deals with the disturbing events in Dhwani's life and how Mithun helps her overcome those.

He is welcomed by his father's manager Sivankutty, Sivankutty's sister Gayathri and others. But there is someone who wants to see Vava dead. Sivan Kutty kills Namboothiri. Vava kills Sivan for revenge. So for the rituals Vava becomes Brahman. He gets arrested and his mother starts backing up into the fire and dies. Soon after his prison sentence, the warring faction set their difference aside and invite Vava to head the church festivities
