The film is a dramatization of parts of the Ramakien, the Thai national epic that was adapted from the Hindu epic the Ramayana.

Four boys are born with strange features, one has very big ears, one has a tail, one has very big hands, one has a big nose. Becoming friends, they spend most of their time playing and sleeping. Becoming adults, their fathers banish them from the village as they are doing nothing to help the community. Just as they leave, a local mafia gang threatens the villagers to get help to cultivate opium and to provide food for their members. Meanwhile one lady wants to marry one of the boys but wishes that he can remove his tail. He refuses. At night time, while he is sleeping, she cuts his tail. He flees away but looses a lot of blood. A crazy scientific professor finds and decides to save him by using technology. He becomes the Six Million Baht Man ! He then gathers his three other friends to free the villagers from the mafia gang.

The story about Fak, a young Thai man who leaves the monkhood to care for his ailing father. When he returns home, he finds his father has married a much younger woman. She is very beautiful, but she is also mentally unbalanced. Then the father dies, leaving Fak to care for his insane stepmother. Soon Fak's neighbors in this remote village are talking about him, saying he is sleeping with his stepmother. This rejection by the villagers sends Fak into a spiral of despair.

A young location scout meets the art director of her project in a day they will keep in their memories for a while, each for their own reasons.

Destiny has brought Ten and Pao to meet through a story in touring book. Though they haven't seen each other yet, the letters in the book was written and sent to both of them. Until one day, when they meet by chance, the acquaintance they've made through the book begins to blossom and develop into love. They vow not to be apart from one another no matter what would come. There's a twist when Ten doesn't get his birthday present that Pao sends to him, but they still hold on to the vow that one day they'll be together forever.

Two country people decide to open a shop. Set during the sugar shortage, they were trying to stockpile sugar to cover the store and did not sell. The story goes on to tell the tale of the various people and their interactions in the village.

In the mountains north of Chiang Rai an animistic hill tribe follows their ancient beliefs. One such belief is that a widow known as a "Mida" must be appointed to teach men how to have sex before they marry so that they can have lots of children. This is a great honor for anyone that gets this position. One day some young pimps from Bangkok show up with the intention of convincing the local girls to go to work in brothels down there. They employ two locals to help them and pay them with things like tape recorders, watches and clothing. Once they leave the two who got the tape recorders etc. find out they cannot buy batteries up there, have no electricity and realize they have been cheated. The local people then begin to hate outsiders. Another Bangkok man comes up and at first they think he is just another pimp but find out he is a volunteer teacher. What fate awaits him, "Ah Por" and the girls who decided not to go?

The film begins as a whimsical observation of Thai gambling culture, a culture in which gamblers will bet on anything, right down to what color underwear a mini-skirted woman will flash when she alights from a tuk-tuk.
