The Japanese Boy (2009)

Duncan (Liam James) es un adolescente de 14 años que, en el transcurso de un verano, tratará de encontrar la fuerza que precisa para poder encontrarse a sí mismo, y de paso, enfrentarse a su padrastro (Steve Carell), que bebe, consume drogas y se va de juerga con otras mujeres, y para volver a relacionarse con su madre (Toni Collette).

Dándose vida a sí mismos, los actores y autores Wallace Shawn y André Gregory quedan una noche a cenar. Como buenos amigos, se empiezan a contar múltiples experiencias personales, a través de las cuales comienzan a surgir los grandes temas de la existencia. Dirigida por Louis Malle, y con guión creado por los dos protagonistas, 'Mi cena con André' nos invita a enfrentarnos a lo que de verdad, al final, pesa en la vida. Título fundamental en la filmografía de Louis Malle ('Ascensor para el cadalso', 'Adiós muchachos'), fue elegida la Mejor Película del Año por la Asociación de Críticos de Boston.

He wants to change his image from Ari Pranchi to something great and is ready to spend a fortune for it. The film deals with how Pranchi tries to get a good name and what changes that brings to his life.
