Con su canción, es capaz de convencer al menos a una pequeña hormiga hasta que llega la reina y lo asusta para que vuelva al trabajo. La reina advierte al saltamontes de los problemas en los que se encontrará con el invierno. Llega el invierno y el saltamontes, al borde de la inanición, tropieza con las hormigas, que se dan un festín en su pequeño y cómodo árbol. Lo acogen y lo calientan. La reina le dice que solo los que trabajan pueden comer, por lo que debe tocar para ellos. Escrito por Jon Reeves.

As winter gives way to spring in the Russian wilderness, a crafty fox promptly expels a defenceless hare from his warm, comfortable residence, claiming the house for himself and leaving the poor owner to sleep outside under the stars. An assortment of compassionate animals – a wolf, a bear, a bull – take pity on the disheartened hare, and attempt to evict the cunning fox, but to no avail. Along comes a hilariously militant rooster, proud and tenacious, who marches into the hare's house and doesn't give up until the fox has been hounded back into the wilderness.

The day comes when an old watchdog becomes useless but the masters being kind don't decide to drive him away. However they turn exasperated when the Dog stays indifferent during a home theft. The Dog leaves for the forest, where he meets the Wolf, his old enemy.

The wolf escapes from Alka-Fizz prison, but the persistent Sergeant McPoodle (Droopy) of the Canadian Mounties follows his trail wherever he goes.
