His Motorbike, Her Island (1986)

En Nueva York, un hombre ha desaparecido sin dejar rastro. Klute (Donald Sutherland), un policía íntimo amigo suyo, encuentra una pista en las cartas que aquél le escribía a una prostituta llamada Bree (Jane Fonda). Va a verla para interrogarla y surge entre ellos una apasionada relación amorosa. Mientras Klute prosigue sus investigaciones en los bajos fondos, empiezan a aparecer prostitutas asesinadas; entonces le asalta la sospecha de que Bree pueda ser la próxima víctima.

En el Transiberiano coinciden personajes muy diversos: Lady Windermere (Delphine Seyrig), una nerviosa maestra alemana (Irm Hermann), una joven francesa emancipada (Inés Sastre), unos cantantes de Broadway, la ostentosa reina Ziegfeld Fanny (Gillian Scalici)...

A bus and a truck are moving towards each other along a two-way traffic highway on a rainy day. At the very beginning we learn that a reckless driver of another car will cause them to collide while trying to pass the bus; we even learn what seats will spell doom for their occupants. The rest of the movie follows two streams of events on the bus and on the truck, getting us to know and like a wide variety of characters, wondering which ones will end up being casualties and holding breath for our favourites. The epilogue brings some more surprises...
