Sinopsis
'Lost in Karastan' es una comedia dirigida por Ben Hopkins y protagonizada por Matthew MacFadyen, Myanna Buring y Noah Taylor. Matthew MacFadyen interpreta a Emil Miller, un cineasta británico ganador de un premio de la Academia que se encuentra sin inspiración y completamente confundido en cuanto a su carrera profesional. Mientras dedica sus días en un trabajo cualquiera para seguir pagando las facturas, recibe una invitación por parte de la Embajada de la República Autónoma de Karastan. Una vez allí se le ofrecerá un proyecto que no podrá rechazar: realizar una película nacional épica en esa república del Cáucaso cuyo líder es un excéntrico y corrupto dictador. Sin quererlo, se verá involucrado en uno de los viajes más salvajes de su diversa carrera.
No pudiendo rodar en New Hampshire, el director de cine Walt Price decide trasladarse a una pequeña ciudad, en el estado de Vermont, al enterarse de que allí hay un viejo molino, elemento indispensable para la película. Todo parece perfecto: los vecinos están ansiosos por participar como figurantes y mezclarse con lo más brillante de Hollywood.
