No Ward is a short documentary about the forced migration of New Orleans residents to cities in Texas. The film juxtaposes the migrations that occurred as a result of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and Hurricane Gustav in 2008.
Terence McDonagh (Nicolas Cage) es un poco ejemplar teniente de la policía, adicto al juego y a las drogas, que investiga el asesinato de cinco inmigrantes senegaleses en la Nueva Orleans post-Katrina.... Remake de la película "Teniente corrupto", dirigida por Abel Ferrara en 1992 y protagonizada entonces por Harvey Keitel.
Gira en torno a un cabeza de familia que en un hospital de Nueva Orleans recién devastada por el huracán Katrina intentará por todos los medios mantener con vida a su hija recién nacida.
El huracán Katrina ha llegado a Nueva Orleans y ha acabado con todos los bienes que poseían la mayoría de sus ciudadanos. Entre los afectados, se encuentra un joven de raza negra cuya educación y formación no parece suficiente como para poder reponer todas las pérdidas. Desesperado, decide juntarse con sus tres amigos, hacerse gángsters y conseguir el dinero necesario para mantener a sus familias a salvo. Esta osadía no será pasada por alto por el Departamento de Policía de la ciudad, que tratará de detenerles lo antes posible.
Basado en hechos reales en medio de los escombros y el caos provocado por el huracán Katrina; un entrenador de baloncesto en Marrero, Louisiana, simplemente no se da por vencido. El entrenador Al Collins reúne a otros jugadores de las escuelas más afectadas y construye un equipo lo suficientemente digno como para ir a los playoffs estatales.
