Sinopsis
The inhabitants of a small village in a backward area of Macedonia earn their living by sending their men abroad in search of employment. Three young girls, named Elica, Maria and Nikolina live and work as schoolteachers in the village. Each of them try to make sense of their lives, in that situation where it is imposed on them. In the village the greatest problem is the supply of water. Spring water is carried by Marko from the distant mountains Marko is falls in love with the poor girl Kate...
Un avión de carga se cae en una tormenta de arena en el Sahara con al menos una docena de hombres a bordo. Uno de los pasajeros es ingeniero aeronáutico, y se le ocurre la idea de reutilizar un ala que ha quedado en buen estado como base para otro avión que tienen que construir antes de que se agoten los víveres.
Cuatro jóvenes estudiantes, dos chicas y dos chicos, desaparecen de un exclusivo internado británico. Dos semanas más tarde aparece una de las chicas, Liz, pero está tan traumatizada que no lo logra distinguir lo real de lo imaginario.
