En realidad, en cuanto Macbeth escuchó la profecía, la idea del asesinato de Duncan no dejó de rondar por su mente, aunque, al principio la rechazó. Sin embargo, su mujer, cuya ambición y voluntad de poder es más fuerte que la suya, conseguirá incitarlo a cometer el crimen.
