Underground filmmakers Sarah Reed and Sadie Shaw make their feature-length debut with this brooding horror flick. Frustrated by the apathy all around her, a discontented young woman named Rosie lashes out with increasing violence in order to provoke a reaction from the deadness in her world. Using surreal imagery, this visually compelling film also explores the themes of alienation, isolation and the destructive nature of relationships.
Un periodista viaja con su familia a lo largo y ancho del país para investigar terribles asesinatos que luego convierte en libros. Año 1979, en un pequeño pueblo de Ohio. Joe Lamb (Joel Courtney) es un muchacho que ha perdido a su madre en un accidente y que vive con su padre policía (Kyle Chandler). Filip Mosz es un obrero que descubre gracias a una súper 8 los poderes de las grabaciones cinematográficas. Destinada a grabar los primeros pasos de su bebé, la cámara se convierte en herramienta de exploración y análisis del mundo: fábricas, obreros, ciudades, poblaciones, recuerdos, relaciones de poder y trabajo A medida que Filip encuentra nuevos temas, el mundo cambia. Esta actividad lo aleja de su mujer, empeora su relación con su jefe y provoca rupturas y malentendidos. Tanto su vida privada como su vida social se vuelven inestables como si el cine influyera en la realidad.
España, años 70. Alfredo López está casado con Carmen, peluquera y esposa fiel. Cuando empieza a irle mal su trabajo de vendedor de enciclopedias a domicilio, se les presenta la oportunidad de ganar dinero haciendo películas eróticas en Super-8, que se exportarán a los países escandinavos bajo la forma de una falsa enciclopedia sobre la reproducción en el mundo.

During a recent remodel of The Yellow House crews discovered the remains of a little girl and a super 8 movie camera with the footage still inside. The footage has been released to the media by Summerland police with the hope that someone can solve this mystery. Police investigators confirm the film was shot by the missing couple. It is believed they were murdered by occult members. This is their footage.
