Es Navidad y un asesino anda suelto por las calles de Londres con un solo objetivo: asesinar a todo aquél que vaya disfrazado de "Papá Noel". El psicópata lleva a cabo sus sangrientos crímenes en grandes almacenes e incluso en fiestas familiares. ¿Quién está detrás de estos brutales asesinatos? ¿Qué motivos le inducen a cometer tales actos? Scotland Yard va tras sus pasos pero cada vez que encuentra una nueva pista, ésta le lleva a una dirección errónea.

El detective Bruce Robertson (James McAvoy) es el detective de policía más maleducado, pervertido, misántropo y adicto a las drogas y al sexo de Edimburgo. A pesar de ello, Robertson quiere un ascenso. Claramente es la persona adecuada para el trabajo; el resto de sus colegas son idiotas. At home, his daughter is going to die, so she must finish her dusting quickly. Then at night Auntie Helga comes home and is greeted Marley. Marley warns her about three ghosts who will visit during the night. The first ghost comes and is only a head. He shows her the past. Then the ghost of the present comes and is huge. He shows her Bob Cratchet talking to his dead his daughter pretending she is alive. Then the Scream guy comes and tries to kill her, but she thinks he is the ghost of the future, so she leaves to see what the future will hold. The real ghost of the future comes and is confused why she isn't there. He meets up with the Scream guy and they fight to the death. Auntie Helga never learns her lesson and feed scraps from the largest turkey to Bob Cratchet who has to beg for them under the table.

A Father Christmas ornament climbs down from a decorated tree, and goes to the forest. There he creates and decorates a Christmas tree for the forest creatures. He then invites all the insects, along with a friendly frog, to come and enjoy the gifts he has prepared, and to celebrate Christmas.
