Sinopsis

Siglo XIX. Un grupo de variopintos personajes, compuesto por un explorador (Cedric Hardwicke), su asistente (Fabian), un reportero entrometido (Red Buttons), un profesor despistado (Richard Haydn) y una maestra liberada (Barbara Eden), emprenden una expedición en globo a través de una peligrosa región africana. Animados por el deseo de reclamar las tierras descubiertas para el Imperio Británico, la heterogénea cuadrilla se ve obligada a capear temporales, luchar contra traficantes de esclavos, enfrentarse a despóticos sultanes y, lo que es aún peor, ¡soportarse los unos a los otros!
