Después de seis años tras la desaparición del hermano de Fiza, Aman, durante los eventos de las revueltas de Mumbai en 1993, la protagonista se ha decidido a volver a buscarle. Y cuando consiga encontrarle el horror la sobrevendrá, al descubrir que su joven hermano se ha unido a las filas de un grupo terrorista. Fiza intentará obligarle a que vuelva a casa, y finalmente se decide a volver al hogar materno, donde dos hombres acosan a Fiza. Entonces sucederá una confrontación entre los dos hombres y Aman, quien dejará al descubierto sus vínculos con el círculo terrorista delante de su hermana, su madre y... también la policía. La madre de los pequeños se suicidará, y Fiza intentará de nuevo ayudar a su hermano, esta vez contando con Aniruth, quien se ha ido de misión con el comando terrorista a matar a dos influyentes y poderosos políticos.

Also Known as Jihadi follows the progress of a young man's journey from France to Syria, and back to France, where he is incarcerated for allegedly joining Daesh. Based on real events, and drawn from thousands of pages of judicial documents, the work employs the so-called landscape theory (fukeiron in Japanese). The character's paths to radicalism are rendered purely through a series of landscape shots filmed at the locations traversed by the subject: a biography determined not by what the subject did, but by what the subject saw, and one that questions how these landscapes reflect the social and political structures that are the backdrop for a journey of alienation and return.
