The Price of Fame (2017)

Cuando Andy Kaufman era un niño ya le gustaba organizar espectáculos de variedades, aunque no tuviera público. De adulto empieza a destacar como humorista y es descubierto por el cazatalentos George Shapiro, que le consigue un papel en "Taxi", una famosa serie de televisión, en la que, gracias a sus dotes cómicas, alcanza una gran popularidad. A pesar de ello, se plantea nuevos retos: con su colega Bob Zmuda crea el personaje de Tony Clifton, su "alter ego"; además, organiza espectáculos de lucha libre entre mujeres que le ocasionan numerosos problemas.

Rip Thomas es campeón mundial de lucha libre y goza de gran prestigio entre sus seguidores, aparte de ser leal a la cadena de televisión que le ha contratado. Brell, director de la cadena de la competencia, le propone cambiar de aires, pero Rip declina la oferta sin saber que poco después será suspendido su contrato en la televisión. Brell comienza entonces un programa de televisión en el que aparece un luchador que provoca a Rip para que se bata con él.

Gordie (David Arquette) y Sean han sido siempre unos enfervorizados seguidores de la lucha libre. Cuando descubren que Jimmy King -su gran ídolo- ha sido traicionado por el promotor Titus Sinclair en una lamentable pelea tras la cual ha caído en el olvido, ambos emprenderán una encorazonada y cómica rebelión para buscar y recuperar al verdadero rey de la lucha.

Survival of the Fittest 2009 was a professional wrestling event promoted by Ring of Honor. It took place on October 10, 2009 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Indiana. This was the first Survival of the Fittest tournament since 2007, as the 2008 tournament was canceled a few weeks before taking place and never rescheduled. This was the first Survival of the Fittest tournament not to included Austin Aries, who, despite appearing on the event, was instead teaming with Davey Richards in a dream tag team match against the Briscoe Brothers. Aries was the only wrestler to compete in every Survival of the Fittest tournament up to that point, always making it the final match. Notable entrants in the tournament include winner of the 2005 tournament, Roderick Strong, winner of the 2006 tournament, Delirious, and winner of the 2007 tournament, Chris Hero.

Lockdown (2010) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) promotion, which took place on April 18, 2010 at the Family Arena in Saint Charles, Missouri.[2][3][4] It was the sixth event under the Lockdown chronology and the fourth event of the 2010 TNA PPV schedule. In the tradition of Lockdown events, every match took place inside a steel cage.

Beginning this Saturday, May 21st, New Japan Pro Wrestling will begin their annual Best of the Super Juniors Tournament, which started way back in 1988. Two blocks of eight wrestlers compete in a series of singles matches. The top two competitors from each block advance to the Semi-Finals and face off, before the winners of those matches meet in the finals. The winner of the entire thing earns himself a shot at the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship. This year’s tournament runs from 5/21 until 6/7.
