Cuando su vida se ve sacudida por una serie de inesperados acontecimientos, Edee pierde la habilidad de conectar con el mundo y la gente que una vez la rodeó. Hastiada de su vida, decide retirarse a un bosque en las Montañas Rocosas con unos pocos víveres. Pese a que la belleza de su nuevo hogar es incontestable, Edee sufre para lograr ajustarse a su nueva vida y especialmente al duro invierno que le espera a la vuelta de la esquina. Un día es descubierta al borde de la muerte por un cazador local que logra salvarla, pero su mayor reto llegará cuando trate de volver a aprender a vivir de nuevo.

Tras perder contacto con la Tierra, el astronauta Lee Miller se encontrará perdido y sólo en una Estación Espacial Internacional. "First we must heal our own souls, only then we can help others", is one of Father Galaktions core messages. He lives as a hermit on the holy mountain. Not all monks, however, live as secluded and demure as Father Galaktion. The film team is also received by Father Epiphanios - a gifted and poetic cook who certainly does not disdain the pleasures of life.

A dramedy about illness, intimacy and death sparkles with the lighthearted touch of Director Ayten Amin. Hussein, played by Khaled abol Naga, is a terminally ill, yet charming architect who enjoys a solitary routine in his old family home, and a variety of female visitors. Not realising his past is about to catch up with him, Hussein's sister and her grandson move into the house, disrupting a well established lifestyle, and forcing him to re-examine his ideas about life, love, and family.

There is a long night when Hugo, a civil servant, is sitting on the stairs of the Ministry where he works. He can’t face going home. The images of the mysterious 8 mm films he found in António’s house after he passed away keep coming back to his mind.
