Ucrania, 1919. La amistad de dos niños, Anton y Jacob, uno cristiano, el otro judío, logra sobrevivir a los prejuicios y el odio que dominan la mente de los adultos tras la Primera Guerra Mundial y la Revolución rusa.

Un eclipse solar activa un portal mágico del tiempo, y un colegial se remonta mil años atrás en el tiempo. No le lleva mucho tiempo reconocer a los legendarios bogatyrs del joven Oleshko, el poderoso Ilya y la severa Dobrynya. Su vida transcurre en combates que intentan destruir a Rusichi a toda costa, usando tanto armas como magia negra. El colegial se encuentra en medio de increíbles eventos, batallas con criaturas míticas y adquiere valor real.

Tanto los padres de Stefania como la madre de Adelia murieron en un incendio en 1868. El Dr. Anger, padre de Adelia, adoptará a la hija huérfana de los vecinos. Las niñas crecerán juntas, cercanas como hermanas, aunque Stefania sea el ama de llaves. Este apego se convierte en una trampa de amor: por un lado lleno de manipulación y celos mutuos, pero al mismo tiempo basado en el cariño y la devoción. La ilusión del equilibrio se rompe cuando Adelia se casa con el escultor Petro. La situación se complica aún más cuando Joseph, el antiguo novio de Stefania, regresa a la ciudad.

Nina knows that because they live in a world of injustice and lies Andrii can stay in jail for a long time, and she risks her life to free him. As they gravitate towards each other, they try to remind people in the occupied territories that they deserve a future, too.
