Sinopsis
Filiberto Aguirre abandona su carrera como capitán de la marina mercante porque tiene fundadas esperanzas de recibir una gran herencia. Pero el tiempo pasa, la herencia no llega y la situación económica de su familia empeora cada día.
Tras preparar un plan para vengar la muerte de su colega a manos de un mítico tiburón blanco, el oceanógrafo Steve Zissou (Bill Murray) recluta a una tripulación que incluye a su esposa (Anjelica Huston), a una periodista (Cate Blanchett) y a un joven que podría ser su hijo (Owen Wilson).
El matrimonio formado por Steffi y Bob es el paradigma de la familia burguesa de Nueva YorK: son ricos, liberales y socialmente comprometidos. Steffi estuvo casada con Joe, un tipo sin suerte con las mujeres, con quien tiene una hija algo inestable. Bob tiene un hijo conservador, una hija que ha puesto en peligro su boda al enamorarse de un delincuente y otras dos hijas adolescentes que se pelean por chicos multimillonarios. Todos ellos pasean sus problemas por Nueva York, París, Venecia.
Hank Palmer, un importante abogado, regresa a su hogar tras la muerte de su madre. This is what the 2 main heroes of the film are doing. The one is a director(Giorgos) and the other an author(Kostas) with communistic ideas, who has won a prize at a festival. They both want to make a movie for the cinema. But every idea they have never comes true, because every time they meet someone to whom they tell their idea, they change their mind, and they want to make a totally different movie, ideas varying from political cinema to Greek historical dramas and modern films with motorcycle gangs. Not a bad attempt for the Greek cinema of the early 80's, which starts to wake up from the hibernation of the 70's.
