Blind Justice (2009)

Centers around a group of college kids as they are driving on an unfamiliar road. Everything seems fit for a road trip to the lake but, when the group accidentally runs over an unsuspecting squirrel, they quickly realize there will be a price to pay. The cursed road brings the zombie squirrel back to life to terrorize the kids. After the kids crash and everyone is injured except the younger brother, he is forced to set out on a journey to defeat the ancient curse and save his brother and friends before it is too late.

From a small cabin in the mountains of New York, Nina Breeder and Massimilian Breeder begin a journey across the United States. California is just the initial destination, but just as the edge of the surrounding landscape expands, so does their ultimate destination. A contemplation of nature and time along a raw journey in the American landscape.

Roads criss cross our landscape, making it convenient for human beings to travel. However, countless creatures also die as a result of these roads. This piece documents South Korea`s first in-depth study of “road kill.” It shows how drivers, who race along these roads, destroy animals` natural habitats and kill them in road accidents. Adopting an environmentalist point-of-view, this film questions the economic logic that girds development.
