El Leeds United vive la época de más éxitos de su historia, aunque con un juego algo sucio. El entrenador Brian Clough acepta el reto de entrenar al equipo, e intentará cambiar el estilo de juego que le imprimió el anterior entrenador: Don Revie.

Película con guión del autor de la novela en la que se basó "Trainspotting", "Acid house" se compone de tres historias ambientadas en Escocia. La primera de ellas, "La causa de Granton Star", es una comedia negra sobre venganza, fútbol y religión. La segunda, "Un blandengue", es una historia de amor y traición con un protagonista al que manipulan fácilmente los que le rodean. La tercera, titulada "Acid House", es un relato cómico que se aproxima a lo surreal acerca del matrimonio, los niños y el consumo desmesurado de ácido.

América del sur, años 70. Un avión, en el que viaja un equipo uruguayo de rugby, sufre un fallo en pleno vuelo sobre las nevadas montañas de los Andes y tiene que aterrizar de forma forzosa y violenta. Tras la muerte de la mayoría de los pasajeros y en mitad de la nada, los supervivientes sufren el terror de la soledad y el frío. Debido a las bajas temperaturas, los cadáveres se conservan en buen estado, y al cabo de unos dias, cuando el hambre aprieta, deciden hacer algo que cambiará sus vidas para siempre: comerse a los compañeros muertos. Rezando para que alguna expedición de rescate los encuentre, el horror cada vez se apodera más de ellos cuando la práctica del canibalismo se convierte en algo habitual cada día que pasa.
