En 2011, la Sociedad Criptológica de Inglaterra envió una expedición al Congo en busca del Mokèle-mbèmbé (el equivalente africano al monstruo del Lago Ness). Nunca más se supo de los investigadores, aunque sí se hallaron las cintas de vídeo que dejaron grabadas. Se trata de un material de incalculable valor; la prueba definitiva de la existencia de especies que hacia 65 millones de años que se creían extinguidas.

Stoner es la ciudad de los Golems por excelencia, y es justamente allí donde van a parar Lina y Naga, buscando fortuna y algo de comer. Nada más llegar, salvan a una muchacha de un golem, con lo que consiguen una invitación a cenar por parte de la rescatada, que resulta ser la princesa mimada del pueblo. En la cena ambas hechiceras conocen a Garia, padre de la joven, que dedica su tiempo libre a la fabricación de golems al igual que su hijo Hyiu. Padre e hijo no se soportan y deciden enfrentarse en una pelea de golems y las modelos para sus dos recreaciones resultan ser Lina y Naga.

Lina y Gourry se encuentran en el pueblo de Acassi, conocido por sus platos típicos de pulpo. Sin embargo, la carne de pulpo esta "maldita", lo que provoca que todo el que coma dicha carne solo pueda hablar en Takogo (lenguaje pulpo). Los hechiceros "malditos" no pueden usar sus conjuros puesto que tienen que hacerlo en idioma Humano por lo que la maldición se esparce sin nadie que la detenga. Cuando Gourry prueba uno de estos pulpos, él mismo queda maldito y es deber de Lina liberarlo de esta maldición y de paso liberar al pueblo de la misma. Pues resulta que todo esto fue planeado por los mismos pulpos ya cansados de que se los comieran, esto en conjunto con un espíritu maligno que habita en las profundidades del mar sellado por una hechicera en tiempos pasados, pero ahora, gracias a un error de Lina es liberado y amenaza con acabar con el mundo.

Enemigos extravagantes tales como organizaciones secretas con el objetivo de dominar el mundo y misteriosa fuerte ataque de las fuerzas de combate Lina y Naga, uno tras otro para el legendario "tesoro" se extiende en un pueblo en el que solía vivir Elfos. This he suddenly changes to that of a sculptor, and in the background is seen a pedestal with the bust of a young lady, which comes to life as the sculptor applies the mallet and chisel.
