Durango Kids (1999)

A widow named Harriet and her two children Carrie and Brian are living in rural New York in 1947 and are still recovering from the death of Harriet's husband killed in World War II. Carrie is a tomboy and hangs around with boys and they have their own clubhouse. Carrie and her friends make mischief and taunt their mentally challenged neighbor Charlie by stealing one of his puppies. Harriet meets a man named Bernard and begin a courtship, but Carrie is furious that her mother is dating Bernard and wants it to stop. The jealousy and anger of Carrie raises to a fever pitch when Carrie and her friends destroy their neighbor Mr. Grizzle's garden and pour sugar into his tractor. Grizzle then takes Charlie's other puppies away from him and then Grizzle's barn is destroyed by fire. Carrie learns it's time for her to grow up and make amends with her mother and her neighbors for the grief and pain she caused them.

The Passenger is the result of about six years spent in a bedroom with a computer. It began in 1998 as a proposed showreel piece, but then escalated into an unstoppable monstrosity that continued to absorb my life (and savings) until 2006. I created all sound, music and vision for the film. Running time is 7 minutes.

Verano de 1982. El Boeing 767 de las líneas aéreas de Canadá, pilotado por el capitán Bob Pearson y el segundo oficial Maurice Quintal despega de Montreal rumbo a Edmonton. Cuando el avión alcanza su máxima altitud y transcurridas dos horas de vuelo, la peor de sus pesadillas se hace realidad: el avión se queda sin combustible debido a un cálculo erróneo del personal de tierra del aeropuerto de Montreal. Ambos intentarán afrontar la situación que será la más peligrosa de sus vidas. Pero el 767, con aproximadamente 69 personas a bordo, empieza un lento y angustioso descenso que si nadie lo remedia les conducirá al desastre fatal.

Un duro agente de policía, apodado por sus compañeros Snakeeater, ha sido suspendido durante un largo periodo de tiempo de su cargo en el departamento por los métodos poco ortodoxos y al límite de la ley que utiliza en la lucha contra los traficantes de droga. A pesar de estar despojado de su placa y de su arma reglamentaria, el hombre intenta ayudar a un grupo de jóvenes drogadictos y es entonces cuando acude al departamento de policía para pedir ayuda porque está circulando droga envenenada. Pero sus superiores se inhiben del caso. Entonces Snakeeater, que utiliza sus propios métodos, pasa a la acción, y prepara la más feroz venganza contra los hasta entonces intocables capos de la droga y su peligrosa organización. Finalmente los superiores del policía tendrán que reconocer su hazaña.
