A spoiled schoolgirl, her overworked executive mother, and a disillusioned young minister each receives an uplifting message about friendship, commitment, and the truest meaning of Christmas from a friendly, but mysterious drifter.

Eight-year-old Jason Barnes is a dinosaur freak. All he wants for Christmas is a high-tech robotic toy called Dino-Bot. Unable to wait, he opens one of his presents early. What he finds, however, is a petrified dinosaur egg. The egg hatches and a baby dinosaur begins to grow at an alarming rate. Jason realizes that he needs to find it a bigger home! Now if only he can keep it hidden from his parents long enough to reunite the baby dinosaur with his family in time for Christmas.

Li Ching is the Seventh Sister, an angel who comes down from heaven to see what life in Hong Kong is like. Armed with omnipotent powers, spirit, and help from her "celestial sisters", Seventh Sister works to defend Zili, Uncle Bull, and the orphans from Xu Caifa.

The story takes place in Carhaix, in the heart of Brittany. A small hospital, with a calm maternity clinic, where few births take place. Mathilde, a mid-wife, Firmine, a pediatric nurse, and Louise, the owner of the Carhaix bowling alley, are all friends and lead a happy existence. Catherine, director of the establishment's Human Resources, is sent to restructure the hospital and, most importantly, to eventually shut down the maternity clinic, which is losing money. While Peter's grandmother tells the aliens about her memories of Christmas, Marvin, one of the town's bullies, steals Lucy. In the chase to rescue Lucy, Marvin falls through the ice in a lake. Peter attempts to rescue him but falls into the lake as well. The townsfolk, who were out searching for the aliens, attempt to save the boys but their human chain isn't long enough to reach them. The three aliens, who had sworn not to interfere with events on earth, decide to help in order to learn the meaning of Christmas.
