Eight-year-old Jason Barnes is a dinosaur freak. All he wants for Christmas is a high-tech robotic toy called Dino-Bot. Unable to wait, he opens one of his presents early. What he finds, however, is a petrified dinosaur egg. The egg hatches and a baby dinosaur begins to grow at an alarming rate. Jason realizes that he needs to find it a bigger home! Now if only he can keep it hidden from his parents long enough to reunite the baby dinosaur with his family in time for Christmas.

Magic Tree House is a 2011 Japanese anime drama film based on the American children fantasy series of the same name. The film is directed by Hiroshi Nishikiori, and the film's screenplay was adapted from the Japanese version of the novel series Magic Tree House by Ichiro Okouchi. The film stars actress Keiko Kitagawa as Jack, and also stars child actress Mana Ashida as Annie. Magic Tree House debuted at the 24th Tokyo International Film Festival on 23 October 2011. Two cavemen, The Duke and Stonejaw Steve, call on Miss Araminta Rockface. The hated rivals fight, and Steve wins when he throws The Duke into a pot of boiling water. A title card introduces a third rival, "our unassuming hero, Theophilus Ivoryhead." Miss Rockface invites the three men into her father's drawing room/cave, apologizing for not offering tea, since it has not been discovered yet. The Duke and Steve fight again, and everyone rushes out of the cave. Mr. Rockface notices his pot of food is empty; earlier, Wild Willie the Missing Link had eaten it. Mr. Rockface tells the three suitors they will have to procure their own dinner. Steve locates a desert quail and shoots an arrow at it, but the arrow misses the quail and happily (for Steve) hits The Duke's behind. Meanwhile, Wild Willie is still hungry and goes hunting for snakes. He finds a dinosaur's tail instead...

A team of scientists working on a remote dig site find the buried body of an enormous monster, perfectly preserved even after 200 million years.
