Cheito y Pedro, uno venezolano, el otro colombiano, se encuentran en la frontera que separa ambos países en tiempos de exacerbados nacionalismos. Uno tiene una firme vocación: la deserción, el otro viene a defender su patria. La agreste geografía humana de la frontera los enfrenta pero la única posibilidad de sobrevivir es uniéndose. Así terminan consolidando la más hermosa amistad entre ambos. Pero una vez que el lazo fraterno se hace cuerpo y alma, sobreviene el enfrentamiento, pero esta vez … a muerte.
