Ambitious magistrate Vittoria (Valeria Solarino) makes the dramatic decision to relocate from the north to the south of Italy with one mission in mind – to defeat the Calabrian ‘‘Ndrangheta’ mafia. Juan Duns Scoto fue el fraile franciscano que ofreció la explicación teológica de la Inmaculada Concepción de María a comienzos del siglo XIV (500 años antes de que fuese proclamado como un Dogma de Fe de la Iglesia Católica). “Duns Scoto” narra la vida y enseñanzas del beato en los años transcurridos entre 1303 y 1305. La película nos ofrece además una breve mirada a la infancia de este hombre y su voluntad de querer formar parte de la Orden Franciscana desde niño.
