En un pequeño pueblo de Quebec, el Dr. Pearson comienza a recibir cartas en la que se le amenaza para que rompa con el supuesto romance que está sosteniendo con Cora Laurent y simultáneamente, muchas otras personas comienzan a recibir misivas donde se amenaza con hacer públicas sus faltas. ¿Quién es? ¿Qué intereses tiene? El Dr. Pearson y el psiquiatra Laurent se disponen a averiguarlo.
