Situado en el período Edo, durante una época en el que la tasa de divorcios era más del doble que en el día de hoy. Una ordenanza de austeridad ha sido proclamada por el gobierno y la vida de la gente común empeora. Durante este tiempo, muchas mujeres que quieren divorciarse se refugian en Tokei-ji, un templo budista en Kamakura, Japón. El Tokei-ji ayuda a las mujeres que son maltratadas por sus maridos y les ayudan a divorciarse si así lo desean.

Based on a play by Hisashi Inoue, it focuses on the sufferings of the survivors of Hiroshima. The film takes place during 4 days in the summer of 1948, as the ghost of her father visits Mitsué (Rié Miyama). He had somehow learned that she has fallen in love, and tries to convince her to start her new life. But Mitsué obstinately refuses his warm and humorous encouragements : « People were killed in my place. I do not have the right to find happiness », she says.

Children's movie about a dog that can type messages into a word processor. When his owner is kidnapped, the canine summons his fellow dogs to help in the rescue effort.

Mientras, Hans sueña con contar historias maravillosas a los niños como el tío Oley. Con este punto de partida la película nos irá mostrando relatos que en un futuro escribirá, como "El patito feo", "El soldadito de plomo", "Las zapatillas rojas", "El mago de los sueños", "Los ratoncitos" o "Candelita, la fosforera". Todo ello entrelazado con divertidos momentos musicales.

The son of the murdered Yakuza, Kenji, at the request of his mother, worked in a stable company.
