Narra la historia de Javier, un taxista al que el destino lleva a trabajar cerca del hotel Regis el 19 de septiembre de 1985. Frente a sus ojos la ciudad de México se derrumba en el tremendo terremoto de ese día, llevándolo a vivir el rescate y la desesperación de un padre en busca de su hijo. A través de esta gran historia de unión, veremos la formación de las brigadas de rescate, la compasión humana y el compañerismo que se vive en el pueblo mexicano. El día de la unión es un homenaje a las víctimas, sobrevivientes y héroes de los sismos en México del 85 y del 2017.
