Después de robar una joyería en Canadá, dos americanos se citan cerca de la frontera estadounidense para repartirse el botín. Uno de ellos sufre un accidente de coche cuando se dirige a la cita y se ve obligado a quedarse en un aislado motel hasta que consiga reparar su coche.
