Cuando R.J. (un travieso mapache estafador), Verne (una tímida tortuga), y sus amigos del bosque descubren que alguien ha construido unas casas en su territorio, la primera reacción de la tortuga es meterse en su caparazón y retroceder, pero el mapache oportunista se da cuenta de las posibilidades que ofrecen sus nuevos e ingenuos vecinos.
