'The King's Mountain Path' is a long line for wandering, with unmanned sleeping accommodation cabins at appropriate distances. It is not without dangers, in particular when narrow and shallow but speedily running creeks must be crossed. - When they were teenagers, a boy and girl wandered along this path, and had a sexual relation. They decided to meet again after exactly ten years, and at exactly this path. Both kept the promise.
A young man,Erik, breaks into a photo store. But he is discovered by the night watchman and has to fly. During the flight he is picked up by cabaret singer Margot, who offers him protection. Erik, now wanted by the police, stays for a longer time with Margot and becomes her lover. Margot, however, is not alone in recruiting Erik: even the young Li is interested in him.

Four young criminals are planning a heist against a racecourse and in order to obtain a seed capital they rob a gambling den. They celebrate the successful heist by throwing a party but it turns out to be a lot of disagreement within the group.
