This year’s Performer Inductees are Pat Benatar, Duran Duran, Eminem, Eurythmics, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, and Carly Simon. Judas Priest and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis will receive the Musical Excellence Award, Harry Belafonte and Elizabeth Cotten the Early Influence Award, and Allen Grubman, Jimmy Iovine, and Sylvia Robinson the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

Este documental es la continuación de "A Headbanger´s Journey", dirigido por el antropólogo Sam Dunn, quien en esta parte de su investigación acerca del metal estudia el efecto de la globalización en el metal, es decir como es que cada sociedad alrededor del mundo percibe a los metalheads,y como los metalheads reaccionan dependiendo los trasfondos políticos, sociales y religiosos.

El surgimiento, la gloria y el declive del subgénero más duro del heavy metal contado por sus protagonistas, desde cuando tocaban en patios y fiestas de amigos hasta la llegada a las grandes multitudes y los estadios llenos. El documental también nos muestra cómo, a pesar del cambio de la escena metalera que regresó al thrash a un nivel casi underground, algunas bandas siguen sobreviviendo a fuerza de tozudez y determinación.

Most Slayer fans still hold up their album REIGN IN BLOOD as the band's true masterpiece. So when it came to recording a visual document of the band - entitled STILL REIGNING - the band turned to its 1986 record for inspiration. With the original line up intact, the band takes to a stage decorated in exactly the same style as their 1980s tour, and work their way through the album. The punishing intensity of their playing hasn't let up over the years, and the group members clearly delight in playing some classic material. With the REIGN IN BLOOD album performed in its entirety, tracks such as "Angel of Death", "Criminally Insane" and "Jesus Saves" come to life once again. As an added bonus, Slayer also performs a selection of other classics, including "South of Heaven", "War Ensemble" and "Mandatory Suicide". As the group exits with blood-like rain falling on them, there can be no doubt that they have entered the pantheon of classic metal bands.

Filmed at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco, California on December 7, 2001, War at the Warfield would become Slayer's first music DVD. Originally set for release on February 13, 2003, it was delayed several times, due to unspecified "production issues". War at the Warfield peaked at number 3 on the Billboard DVD chart with sales of 7,000.
