О буднях морской пограничной заставы в середине 30-х годов. На маленьком тихоокеанском острове несет службу гарнизон пограничной охраны НКВД. Небольшой отряд бойцов мужественно защищает родную землю от нападения японских диверсантов и гонит прочь непрошенных гостей. Однажды японский эсминец высаживает десант на один из советских островов. Kvartaly predmestya (52 minutes, USSR 1930, directed by Grigoriy Gritcher-Tchrikover) and it is about the cohabitation of a young Jewish woman (played by Nana Vatchnadze, a Soviet film star of those times) and a Ukrainian. This film pays attention to mutual national and religious stereotypes.
